It's a Hindu religious temple where the monkeys run riot and are constantly supplied with peanuts and bananas purchased at the gate.
They're incredibly forward and often reject the single peanut in tourists hands with a view to "nicking"the entire packet located deep in the pocket.
Situated in a lush mountain setting Hindus come here to cleanse themselves in the water constantly emanating from a couple of gargoyle like cows heads right at the top of the stepped temple structures.
We finished up there and we're having a chai down at the entrance where I asked an old man with a Sikh headdress and a wrap around moustache whether he minded me photographing him.
He seemed almost too pleased and afterwards came up to me and gestured that he's like to have a photo taken with me.😜Strange request but sure ......why not?
Next thing the rest of the local group of elderly Indian guys came up , one by one , with the same request?????
No problem......must be an Indian custom?
We left to have another epic curry lunch and are presently sitting at another very nice textile place and suddenly one of the owners is staring at me and mentions someone's name to Aslam and he's like.....yeah that's it.
So they call in the other shop manager and he's ........(in Indian) nodding in agreement.
So the bottom line here guys is that I apparently am a double of the biggest Bollywood actor from way back,apparently recognized by every Indian from Delhi to Mumbai.
They produce a googled shot of this guy's face and guess what ....They're right!👌🤑😜
So my month might well turn into a longer period , depending on the contract I'm eventually offered!👳🏽
You'd better not try that film star story with 'squash at point' as they'll split their sides!!
