TO AJMER

Ajmer is quite a big city surrounding a lake which we passed en route to PUSHKAR.

So I took a ride there this morning.

The 16km ride takes one over a pretty hairy pass which doesn't deter your average Indian driver.

These okes must have a death wish?

I mean what's the point of taking your life in your hands each time one takes to the road?

I've seen many a scooter rider simply being run off into the shoulder as a result of cars/ buses overtaking I blind curves.

One has a good chance of dying, or at the very least being permanently maimed, every time one takes to the road.

I don't get it?

Anyway, I arrive in Ajmer and I'm going round a traffic circle and,as I suspected, 1st cop I've seen stops " you know who".

No helmet!

I hadn't been offered one when hiring, but for $&@& sake there are countless mopeds passing by with not s helmet to be seen! 

Some of these carrying upward of 4 passengers at a time😬

They indicated a fine was appropriate so I played the Amitabh trick and told them I'd head back to PUSHKAR and......hey presto ride on oh Bollywood star🤑😅

So my ride was cut short and I headed back.
