LAST DAY PUSHKAR

There was some sort of festival here last night with much banging of drums and other noise, fortunately located some way from this place.
Took a last ride this morning into the country and stopped and read along the way.
Whilst sitting there at least 5 herds of goats with their female goat herders passed making different noises to keep their respective goats together.
Watching them it became apparent that the goats clearly recognize the sounds emanating from their respective herders and follow them.....all day I guess?
Pretty hot out here where it's a little Karroo like.
Not a single male herder, and mostly older women.
The people lining up were queueing to pay homage to the Hindu shrine located close by my hotel.
Whilst taking this one I missed a large cow nicking a huge cucumber from a vegetable vendor.
He wasn't perturbed and simply smiled and shooed the cow away.
