It has never been overrun by an enemy (I'm not surprised) and contains many treasures and a formidable collection of armoury containing incredibly ornate weaponry.
For the record a tour ( for foreigners) incl. audio cost 600 rupees (R140).
Spent virtually the entire morning there 👍
It's now seriously hot so I'll shower and rest and emerge when it cools down this evening m😅
Love the history lessons Prof Heath....but you are still a tourist that can go and cool off in a shower ha ha...really enjoy what I've read and seen so far,sorry I have not logged on more...
