SELCUK

 After another absolutely seamless bus ride from Bodrum (don't go there!) to Selcuk we arrived at the small otogar in the centre of the village and I backtracked some 5 years to a place we'd stayed at in 2009,......"MARY'S HOUSE HOTEL" 

I'd rung the owner yesterday and managed to get a 3 night booking in this busy little town.

It's 8km from the huge ,bustling city of Kusadasi but sooo much nicer as a base!

Most people who come to Ephesus are daytrippers from all over Turkey,....come to see what is without doubt one of the most interesting towns for It's charm and  antiquity.

But more than that,.....it's proper Turkish!

School kids in playgrounds, ....hundreds of older local guys playing a form of dominoes and drinking tea and smoking in cafes,.....ancient working mosques,a roman aqueduct smack in the centre and that's before one even mentions the main attraction,...EPHESUS and the temple of Artemis.
