Pronounced "cash" is an ancient fishing village which has become a kinda "boutique" town frequented by holidaymakers from around the globe.
Just a couple of km by boat from here lies KEKOVA an ancient Roman city which has subsided into the sea due to multiple earthquakes through the ages.
It's literally a sunken city which can be approached and dived, from a little fleet of boats which takes in the various little islands visible from Kas village.
Unfortunately though i have a wife who cannot even look at a boat without hurling,.....the boats go out from 9am snd return at 6pm,....not gonna work so we've been parking off at the nearby restaurant "piers" where one enters straight into 5m deep pristine aegean waters.
Accommodation here is at a premium and starts at around R1200/night and ranges into the thousands.
We were lucky and managed to secure an amazing sea facing room with a balcony as well as a pool,....a rarity unless one is paying a few thousand/night.
Located in a super quiet area with the most spectacular views from the rooftop breakfast area,... a snip at R1000/n
ight.
Tomorrow we'll be moving again, heading west to another similar fishing village turned boutique tourist destination,....Turunc.
It should take most of the day as we'll be taking 3 buses to Turunc,....probably 9am till around 5pm.
No ptoblem as one sees a bit of the landcape en route.
