We're in a great hotel here (R535/night for 2),...just 1 block from the beach where we're relaxing on recliners at the grand cost of R55 for the day (for 2).
My daughter is off to Italy shortly and we'd been going thru some options and Costs for accomm etc.in Amalfi.
Cost of the same 2 recliners on a private beach in Sorrento.....50 EUROS!
That comparison would be pretty similar to any other aspect between the two regions.
Accommodation R500 for 2 B & B's vs R3000 in say Europe.
Food around R100-R150 for two vs R800 in Europe (if you're lucky)
Motorbike hire here is apparently around R100/day....in Europe at least 8x that amount.
Clearly not a bad option for us "Seffricans" with our ever depleting exchange rate.
It's full on sun here 2day,with just a little cirrus cloud up high,so we'll spend much of the day at the beach and organise a m/cycle after we arrive in Hoi an 2morrow.
Oh ,...and I've just checked,...grab taxi (equivalent to Uber here but far cheaper) to our hotel in hoi an located 30km away....justR200.
I paid R700 just to the CT airport a few days ago!
Forgive me guys if this info is a bit boring but it always serves me well when I sometimes repeat any travels years later.
A case in point....we were last here 6 years ago in 2019,and costs are really not a hell of a lot higher now.
