Quite a lot more commercial with a hell of a lot more tourist trade.
The sea here is comparable with Thailand’s and even the med,....although perhaps not quite as clear .I guess that’s due to the monsoon season .
I’d expected a lot more rain but we’ve really not been affected at all so far,...in the almost 3 weeks since arrival.
In fact there’s a lot less cloud cover where we are presently,.....half way down between Hanoi and Saigon.
We’ll be moving on today to another hotel on the quieter side of Hoi An ,to a larger place.
We’d decided to stay put here till the last 4 nights of our journey and fly direct from Danang ( 30 km north of Hoi an) to Saigon,......so we’ll be here another 9 nights just beaching ,biking, relaxing and eating the wonderful food here.
Last night we had an amazing meal at a small restaurant I’d spotted on TripAdvisor .
A huge plate of prawns π€ perfectly grilled in ginger and garlic,....Cao lai,...a local Hoi An dish,...Wantons with chicken ,and morning glory (like spinach) cooked in peanut and garlic .
All this washed down with 2 beers π»,...far too much really but we polished it off eventually,....cost an “astronomical “ R130π¬
